Valve Technology

Industry Standard

Both the mechanical design RF VALVE® and the air actuated design aiRFlex® valve are built to meet international industry standards, such as ASME B16.1, DIN 3202 F5/F15 and ISO 5752 face-to-face dimensions.

RF Technologies is the ONLY pinch valve manufacturer offering their complete line of pinch valves built to these industry standards.

Elastomer Sleeve Design

Elastomer Sleeved Valves What differentiates all RF Valves from their competitors is their patented non-stretch tube design featuring two joint-like expansion arches that flex instead of stretching when closing. This feature also permits building its valves in the shorter standard ASME/ANSI B16.1, ANSI/ISA, DIN 3202 F5/15 and ISO 5752 face-to-face designs, and contributes to RF Valves' remarkable wear/higher cycle life over conventional pinch, metal, or lined valve types.

Since the rubber does not need to be stretched to close the valve, the tube is stiffer and stronger than conventional pinch valves; this, combined with the expansion-joint-like arches, makes the tube more stable under low or fluctuating line pressures — and even vacuum conditions! Full-port and reduced-port tubes permit precise throttling control.

RF elastomer tubes are available in a wide range of elastomer qualities including high-pressure, wear-resistant sleeves that outperform more expensive 316, stellite, or alloy ball, plug, globe, diaphragm and conventional pinch valves in abrasive, scaling or corrosive services. KEVLAR® reinforcing cords add unsurpassed performance under high loads. Our VITON® tubes withstand even the most chemically aggressive and corrosive process conditions.

SMART ValveTM Wear Sensor

SMART ValveTM Wear Senso

A SMART ValveTM Wear-Monitoring Sensor wire is imbedded between the reinforcing cords and wear rubber to alert maintenance personnel that the tube may be in need of replacement.

The wire can be tested by simply using a multi-meter probe or can be wired into a monitoring system, whether it be a stand-alone MONSYS control box, local DCS or digital positioners that communicate via analog, HART, Foundation Fieldbus or Profibus.

In-Line Tube Change

In-Line Valve Tube Change The split valve body, the elastomer sleeve flanges without bolt holes and a permanent calibration with lock nut system on pull bar extensions allow the tube or sleeve to be changed with the valve In-line, saving maintenance time and eliminating the need for recalibration.

Zero Leakage Shut-off and guaranteed not to seize or jam

Zero-leakage Shut-off ValvesLike all pinch valves, the self-cleaning, flexing action of the elastomer tube prevents build-up of scaling deposits and thus guarantees that the valve will not seize or jam, even with high solids.

Zero-leakage shut-off, seamless flange-to-flange tube construction, and sealed body design eliminate the need for valve stems, packings, or seals that can leak.
